Arby's Mixed Bag The Arby's website has a nutrtition guide that's very easy navigate. You can add and remove toppings to see how the calories and fat change and it's a snap to use. There are some good choices on their menu, and some are made even better by saying hold the mayo. Love them just as they are It seems to be all about portions at Arby's. The sandwiches we can tell you to love just as they are are little. Junior Roast Beef Sandwich: 272 calories, 10 g fat, 2 g fiber isn't bad for a fast food sandwich. We should warn you, though, there's no such thing as low sodium at Arby's--this one has 740 mg which is less than almost everything else on the menu. Ham & Swiss Melt Sandwich: 275 calories, 6 g fat, 1 g fiber. This one's not too shabby either. Magical Makeovers Chicken Fillet Sandwich -- Grilled: At first glance, this baby is a little points heavy for a chicken sandwich. But run it through the calculator and you'll see you can peel the mayo off along with 105 calories and 11.5 g of fat. That brings this substantial sandwich down to 309 calories, 6 g of fat, 2 g of fiber and 6 points. Not bad at all for fast food! Santa Fe Shocker! Now this makeover will be fun. We start with the Santa Fe Salad. The original model features breaded chicken fingers, and weighs in at 499 calories, 23 g of fat, 7 g fiber for a hefty 11 points before you put any dressing on it. Wave your magic wand, and ask for grilled chicken and hold the cheese and you get... 197 calories, 3.3 g fat, 6 g fiber. Save 8 points!!

Buffalo Wild Wings! What is in your food?

Buffalo Wild Wings - Another place I can't eat anymore (for now) Updated! A co-worker today was kind enough to ask if I'd like anything from Buffalo Wild Wings while he was out. So I asked him to pick me up the skinny chicken tenders with some honey barbecue sauce. Only after I gave him my order did I check to see the kind of points damage I would inflict. Alas, I have no idea. The only information I could find online was for the sauces; nothing on their menu. Why is it so difficult to just tell us. Tell us what we're eating. Tell us if it's going to make us fat so we can decide if it's worth the risk. By not telling, you're just narrowing down the number of people who will choose to eat at your establishment. Buffalo Wild Wings has done just that, by at least one, today. So I will guesstimate on my little chicken strips and wait to visit them again until they tell me what's in their delicious food. Update!

Quiznos...no thank you!

We love Quiznos subs, or did before we couldn't find any nutritional information about them. We can only assume that if they're not saying, it really can't be good. We are unendingly annoyed with restaurants who refuse to publish their nutrition information. Quiznos, what do you have to hide?

Until recently, they did have two sandwiches' information listed on their site but those are now gone. Quiznos Australia has listings, but many of those menu items don't translate, and who knows what the differences are. Just take a look at Wendy's US vs. Canada if you don't think there wouldn't be much difference.

So if you are as frustrated with this situation as we are, please contact Quiznos and ask them to publish their information. Be sure to let them know you're a former customer until they fix it as well. Maybe it will put some pressure on them to just tell us what's in their food.

Update: Apparently you have to be some kind of insider to get the scoop on Quiznos menu offerings. If you're an online Weight Watcher, look them up in the points tracker and they have the info there. If you're not a Weight Watcher, the folks at CalorieKing have you covered. So, look at those figures then decide if Quiznos is worth it for you.
