Dieter's Heaven -- Like Buttah The Pros: Wow, wow, wow. I may sound like I'm easily impressed as you read these early reviews, but it's just that I've gotten pretty lucky with the things I've tried so far. This is no exception. I am kind of a butter freak, and this stuff fits the bill very nicely. Unlike margarine, this actually tastes like butter. No really, butter. Creamy, sweet butter. And an even bigger pro, it's one point per tablespoon. Yes, that's what I said. One point. The Cons: If I have to come up with a con here it'd be price. It comes in a container that's a little bigger than a single stick (which I like because it encourages me to not go nuts since there isn't too much there
), and at my grocery it was pushing $3. But really so worth it; hardly a con at all. The Skinny: Do I have to say it? Get this stuff right now people. It's out of this world on a lovely Thomas 100 calorie whole wheat toasted English muffin. You'll forget momentarily that you're even counting points as you crunch on your muffin and the taste of real butter melts in your mouth. It contains heart-healthy canola as well and has 60% less cholesterol than butter. How can you go wrong here? I definitely wouldn't use it for baking, though. The consistency is lighter than regular butter, and it melts very quickly and easily so I don't think it would bake or cook well. But as a topping to your favorite bread (have I mentioned I have a weakness for baked goods?), it is out of this world.
